CDs DVD's
CD recovery is charged at approximately $100 per cd and $200 per DVD. If only a percentage of the disks data can be recovered, then that percentage will be applied to the above prices. For example if we recover 50% of data from a cd, you will be only be charged $50.
Hard disk data can become inaccessible for numerous reasons:
Formatting
Computer virus
Power failure
Hardware malfunction
Unintentional deletion
and many other reasons.
NOTE: If your hard drive has failed, DO NOT try to use it. Any further use of a hard drive after a failure can severely reduce the chance of a recovery.
In most cases we can recover the complete or partial data on a disk. Data that would otherwise have to be recreated from scratch, which can be enormously costly to a business or an individual. Infact some customers have saved many thousands of dollars worth of data. And in many cases customers have recovered priceless photos and videos.
Data recovery takes time. Sometimes it can take days to assess the damage done and decide on the best method for recovering the lost data. It depends on the type of damage and amount of damage to a disk. This is why we charge an initial assessment fee of $60.
After the initial assessment, we will contact you to discuss your options and then quote a price on the recovery and, if required, the cost of a new hard disk that will be used to store your data.
The total price is based on the hands on labour time only. Not any data recovery process time done by our computers. That's why our prices are generally much cheaper than our competitors.
If your data cannot be recovered, there will of course be no recovery charge. You will only be charged for the initial assessment fee.
The Initial Assessment fee is $60 per hard drive.
The Recovery fee will be quoted after initial assessment, and as stated before will be based on the hands on labour time only.
